I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Habit Project Day 11

Keep it up everyone!  Every year I learn so much about myself doing this project both as a participant and a viewer of all of your journey's.  Nothing easy is worth doing so battle through the hard work!

  1. Yesterday went well. When I got home I went on my phone for a little bit but only to check instagram and snapchat. Ive found that in the morning and afterschool I haven't really been staying on my phone too much. I really only spend like 10 minutes or so. That is a big improvement because I used to just spend hours and hours doing basically nothing. After my short check on my phone I did my homework. After I did my homework and ate dinner I went to dance. Dance was from 6:30-7:30. I didn't exercise because I went to dance. I feel like exercising will help me if Im being unproductive. Usually from about 6 or 7 up until I go to bed I watch tv with my family and that is like my chill time. Good luck everyone were almost done but I think I will keep this up after the project! :)

  2. Today was a good day for me. I didn't crack my knuckles at all. I'm very happy and I hope I can keep it up. My snacking was pretty good. At lunch I had some pretzels and some peppers. After school I had to stay at school until 5 or so because my mom was doing auction stuff. Ms Guliani gave us pretzels and juice boxes so I had those. After that we went up stairs and we got to play with the chucks in Ms Bello's room for like 45 minutes. I got to hold a bunch of the baby chicks and I also got to hold Ms. Dalessandro's new baby ginnea pig. They were so cute. I did a good job not cracking my knuckles but I need to focus more on the snacking.

  3. Hey its Nana s. Im using a new email to post on this blog because I left my phone in my locker anyways.today went well I avoided my Trigger and doing this project is really helping me. As I was doing my Thursday activities I was offered a can of soda but I refuse I said no I'm good and saying no wasn't hard this time.yay!!!

  4. I didn't bite my cheeks at all today again. I had a cinnamon raisin English muffin with peanut butter and a banana for breakfast and that put my day off to a good start. Then for lunch I had a salad with strawberries and a Greek yogurt. I am getting used to eating healthy and getting happy with the way it makes me feel. As for snacking, today was not that good. After school I went to an auction meeting and managed to not eat any pretzels at first. Then we played with the chicks and we went back to the room and I ate like two handfuls of pretzels and some wheat thins. Immediately after, I was disappointed in myself. So I'm going to focus on that more. I went to Declan's baseball game and now I'm at dinner having a chicken salad and then I will go home and exercise.

  5. Today was not that bad. I had lots of fruit today to make up for what I ate today at lunch. I packed lots of things but my dad accidentally put a bad snack in my lunch box. I didnt know how he did that but when it got time for lunch I didn't know what to do with it. I didn't want to throw it away so I just ate it but I didn't eat the whole thing. I had one bite and didn't feel like eating it rest. Also to make up for my mistake I went for a 2 mile jog around the neighborhood. It felt really good to accomplish something I could never do before. I had lots of water today as well. Then my friend and I went for a bike ride in West Boylston which I'm on my home from now. Usually I don't have fun exercising but I never knew that accomplishing something could feel so good. It also felt good to do some exercise with a friend. I am glad everything turned out to be okay.

  6. Today was another success in breaking my napping habit. I had a hard time getting up again but that's just because I'm not a morning person. After the morning I didn't feel the need to sleep at all. When I got home I immediately did my homework then went to the park. At the park I was just in a good mood and energetic. I played with Matt and other kids for 2 hours. So far this schedule has made me more friends and more of an outdoors person too. I used to just stay at home when I wasn't sleeping, now this project has made me more active.

  7. Today went we'll for both of my habits . For lunch I avoided junk food from my friends . I know this will still be a hard habit to break after this project but it will pay off in the long run. I just got out of dance 5 min ago so when I get home I'll probably eat dinner work out and go I bed .

  8. Tonight was not the most eventful night. I got out of school hoping to go see the baby but she was not born until around six. Madison and I played hide and go seek for some time. It was a lot of fun. After we did our homework and played funny games. I find myself hilarious at even though I'm not that funny. My mom went to go check on our cousin Sue whose brother passed away. Tomorrow right after school I am going straight to see my God daughter. I'm very excited to see her and see how mimi is doing. Tomorrow will be far more eventful then today. Right now I am waiting for Tracey. She is bringing us to her house and I am sleeping over Madison's tonight. We won't stay up too late.

  9. Today went pretty good. I avoided my habit until around 4:45, going on it once or twice to call my mom and receive ones from my Gramma. Right after school I went over Alyvia's. We walked over to the ice cream place down her street and after that I did my homework at around 7:00 and since I only had a little, I finished really quick. Now we're going over to my house and she's sleeping over. I know it's a school night but we sometimes do this. We go to bed at a reasonable time so everything's okay. With my 'like' habit, it's still not going well, but I recognize when I say it instead of not realizing that I did, so I believe that it's a step in the right direction. I'm going to keep trying and not give up.

  10. after taking two back pain killers in the 6.30 am all day back did not hurt it seems that i am some 80 year old man no offensive to them so i was able to stand up straight felt proud of this because i did not feel pain at all.

  11. Henno! Last night was pretty good. When I got home I watched my show. Then went upstairs and did my home work. Went downstairs talked to my grandparents and then ate dinner. Then went back upstairs and studied for social studies. After studying I was texting my friend Eleni. After that went downstairs watched tv for like 30 min by that time it was around 9:30. Then went back upstairs and read some of my book then went to bed. Good luck to everyone on their projects!

  12. Today I got up at 6 and got ready just like I always do and today I just didn't feel like watching Youtube on my iPad and now I don't go on it as much as I did when I come home from school. I'm actually getting used to it not playing it in the morning. I watched some TV and checked some homework . And I learned, like I said, some days it going to be easy and some days it's going to be hard.

  13. Today was another successful day. I believe I've only had one bad day which was the weekend, but hey it's harder to stop playing video games on the weekend instead of the weekdays. So today when I got home I took a nap until about 5 because I was really tired. Then I did my homework till 6:30 ish and didn't start playing until 8. Because my limit is 8:30 I only played for 30 minutes which is really good. Playing video games is something I love to do, but cutting back and doing something else is just as fun.

  14. Yesterday was an okay day for me. I got home at 5:00 because I went to St. Vincent's to get my thumb checked out by an orthopedic surgeon and found out that I needed a cast for 3 weeks :(. That kinda put a downer on my day since he also told me it would be another couple weeks in a removable splint, but I could wear it under my glove during the game. The only homework that I had was math and to study. I studied on different occasions throughout the afternoon since I was having trouble with the math and decided to see Mr. Coonan this morning for extra-help.

  15. Today was similar to past days. At lunch I had a turkey and cheese sandwich with strawberries. After I left after school, I went to the Y and worked out until 7;30. I read until 9;00 and then i eat dinner and went to bed around 9;40

  16. Last night was pretty much routine. There isnt a lot of new stuff to write about in this point in the project. I learned that cracking your knuckles is bad for your joints, which gave me a new incentive in that habit. I cracked them slightly more yesterday, mostly during a social studies test I took out of stress. That gave me insight into what birthed that habit. As for the phone, everything is going good. Keep working everyone!

  17. So yesterday was a really good day. I had iceskating where I did a lot of new stuff. Then I came home and ran a little with sophia. We then fooled around and watered the lawn and we ended up soaking. I then ate took a shower did my homework and went on my iPod after nine. I did a lot of things productive and I did my homework early and exercised. I think it getting easier not being on my iPod all day because I know a couple of things I can do during that time that I would be on my iPod. Hope everyone has a good day.

  18. I am really proud of myself today because even though I didn't get home until around 6:15 I still got my homework done as soon as I got home! And the funny thing is that I barely realized I had to do it as soon as I got home. So I just sat down and started doing it and it wasn't until after I finished that I relized I didn't need to remind myself to do it. This project is really working wonders to prepare me for high school homework.

  19. Yesterday was a regular day. I got home from school and played basketball outside for a couple hours. I came inside and drank a lot of water. I releized that I have been drinking much more water then I used to. Since my parents haven't been buying much soda my other options are milk water and orange juice. After that I didn't know what to do because I didn't have any homework or baseball practice/game. Avoiding my habit is becoming a ruitine. I don't even think about going on my phone at night. I read my book at night until I fall asleep. I hope everyone else is doing well avoiding your habits.

  20. Yesterday was good. I went to Kaitlyn's house and my mom wanted me to go early so I said ok. I got home and my mom was going to help someone move so I joined her. After we helped the guy move we went to KFC lol. I got home and washed me hands and ate chicken. I turned on the TV for 10 minutes and took a shower. I went to bed my my mouth was aching and I stayed till 4 because it was bothering me and I wasnt able to sleep. I woke up and did my homework. I got ready for school and I was sleepy. I only watched TV for 10 minutes and that was good because I would watch it all day. I am planning on doing this after the habit project because it is really helping me I can do my work then watch a little bit of TV or watch TV for a little bit then do my homework. GOOD JOB 8TH GRADERS YOUR DOING WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  21. Today has been a good day so far for me. I got home and my nieces and my nephew were at my house. They were at my house until like 6:45, so i was out playing with them until then. Now i plan on going for my run and maybe playing another game of scrabble,but whether i do or dont play, i still have been able to avoid watching to much tv or going on my phone or playing video games up till this point. I feel like i can end this strong and continue it when it isnt being considered a grade.

  22. It wasn't a really active day for me but I work up at 10:40 am and cleaned all morning until 4:00pm. At around 4 I took a shower and got ready to go hang out with my friends. I hanged out with my friends until 9:50pm and went home. I was still upset about yesterday so I wasn't really talkative but I avoided my bad habit of sitting on the couch using my phone for hours .

  23. Good for you Christian! You are a great young man and do not need to lie about anything. Work hard, tell the truth and when you do make a mistake, come clean and learn from it!
