I have been teaching at SPCC since 2004. I love interacting with students everyday and working with my peers. I also love playing and coaching basketball, playing baseball, and golfing. I love being spontaneous and riding the wave of life where it takes me. I am also very proud to have the best wife, duaghter, and a brand new edition on the way in September. My parents are a driving force in who I have become and throughout my life I have had the best friends around me who love me for who I am. God has guided me in many ways that have turned into miracles.

Habit Project Day 6 Saturday May 16th

  1. Hey! Yesterday it was a lot harder to stay off my phone because it was Friday. I went on my phone when I got home and stayed on it for a while. Then I decided that instead of going on my phone I would watch tv. I know I probably should have read a book or something but I wanted to relax. Ill try to be more productive this weekend and read or something. I know this was short but I really didn't do anything so I will probably make tomorrow's longer.   2. Today went really well. I had soccer games all day so I didn't really have time to eat anything other than breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was proud of myself that I didn't eat anything fattening. I had water all day so that made me feel refreshed. Good luck everyone!

  3. Henno! Last night was great for me. After school I went home with Emma and Emilie. When we got to her house we walked the dogs and got a vanilla shake. When we got back to her house we watched pitch perfect and had pizza cheese balls and that stuff. After that we went to the movie theater to go see pitch perfect 2. We got there early so we played in the game room and hung out. Then we watched the movie. After the movie was over we played in the game room some more because my grandpa went to the wrong theater. So we had time. When he got to the theater we dropped Emma off and then Emilie and Sophia. I got home around 11:00. I was tired so I just put all my stuff away and went to bed. I had like no time to go on my phone. I hope everyone is doing good!

  4. Hi! Today wasn't a successful day. I immediately went on my phone, which is not good. I went out for a big breakfast at around 9:00 with Megan Mac. After that, at around 10:30, I went home and got on my IPad, watching youtube and Netflix until 12:30, when my nail appointment was. I got home at about 2:15, then going on my IPad yet again until around 4:00, when my grandpa and grandma picked me up. I just got to their house at 5:05 (I live really close to them) and again went on my IPad. I am about to eat dinner and en make brownies with my grandma, and maybe watch TV or play cards with her. I am going to do my homework tomorrow, I had time today but completely forgot about it. I don't think having 7 hours of free time without school really helps me. Also, with my 'like' habit, I've said it so many times I can't recall the number. I'm trying really hard and sometimes I don't let it slip. I am going to tell everyone in my family about the habit project and hopefully they can help me. Good luck to everyone else!

  7. Today was very successful. Instead of laying in bed all day I went to my aunt Kat's house. My sister Mack and I stayed there for about three hours. Colleen picked us up and we went straight to wegmans. We stayed at wegmans for about an hour and a half. When we got home we got ready for my aunts surprise birthday party. It doesn't make much sense why the party was thrown so early. Her birthday isn't until next month. The party was a lot of fun, all of my semi cousins were there. When I say semi I mean colleens side of the family. At the party we played a lot of games. We played soccer,volleyball,and football. Every time we played the teams were unfair so that's fun. People were being rude to my sister so I played with her more than anyone. After we played we took a ride in my cousin Patricks car. His car is really nice. We got home around eight o'clock! I feel really good about not being lazy when I could be making friends or having fun. I have taken more opportunities and feel better about myself. Mr. Phillips, the habit project is really working well for me. I know it will continue after the project is over.

  8. Today was really good! I don't recall chewing the inside of my mouth at all! If I did, I may have done it only once or twice. I went out to breakfast at the parkway and had a small, semi healthy breakfast. Then I went to my brothers baseball game from 12:30 to 2:00. Sadly, they've lost the last couple games but they're a really good team and won the championships last year so I think it's just a temporary slump. After that I got a small sandwich at subway for lunch with Declan and my dad. Then we went home and I clean and painted my nails which took about an hour because I had to start over a couple times... Anyways, after that i watched a couple things on Netflix and played wii with my brother. I did a small workout but my dad got pizza and diet coke which I felt guilty about eating because of how good I've been eating but I'm also really happy because instead of eating 3-4 pieces of pizza and lots of chicken poppers like I usually do, I only had two small slices. I know it's not healthy, but I feel like I'm getting to know my body better and what it wants and how much it wants. I might do another small workout in a little bit even though it's late, after we finish watching Thor. For a snack today, all I had was an apple. I hope to continue what I'm doing, but eat better tomorrow.

  9. Hello. Today I was feeling a little better. I went to see pitch perfect 2 with my cousin and siblings and Mabel's friend Elin. It was so funny. I think it was better than the first one. I cracked my knuckles more than yesterday. I was getting very mad at myself for cracking them. I was trying very hard to stop but I kept doing it. I don't think I snacked that much today. Since I was feeling a little better I ate some more. I had braekfast and dinner. For snacks I had some yogurt and an apple. i was glad that I chose healthy snacks. Tomorrow is Jacks first communion so we are having a party. I know there will be a lot of deserts and unhealthy foods. I will try to stay away but it will be very tempting.

  10. To be honest, today wasn't a great day for me with my habit. I'm not making excuses but my day was kind of packed. I had the St. John's placement test in the morning from 8:30 to 10:00 am, then I went straight to my baseball game at 11:00. That ended at around 3:00 and I got home at 3:30. I then went to church at 4:00 and had to run errands with my dad til 7:30. I was drained by the end of all this, especially the placement test and baseball game, and all i want to do is go to bed. However I just remembered the project and typed this up real quick. I need to get some sleep now because tomorrow will be just as exhausting. Can't wait :l.

Today was difficult cause I was home for half of the day , but then I had to leave for a graduation ceremony After the graduation we had a family lunch and obviously soda was available, good thing there was snapple so I grabbed one and decided to join my other cousins to watch tv and every time the show goes on Comercial a Dr . pepper or coke Comercial comes on but I still avoid drinking soda and I'm really proud but for tomorrow I'm not so sure cause we having a party for my cousin graduation but ik I can do it as I did today

  12. Today was a successfull day. I woke up early surprising to me and I said good morning to my dad and my step-mom. I had peanut butter and jelly sandwich and went downstairs and did my math homework. After that my dad played music so I just listened to it while he was working in the bathroom. He took a break and we went out for Chinese. It was good until my dad had disgusting sea food and it grossed me out. We laughed and talked and had to stop at Home Depot and Wal-Mart. Got home took my allergy pill and played on my tablet downstairs in my room. My dad was shocked about how I didn't watch TV all day and I was surprised too, but last night I watched TV for an hour I had to time myself because I would go overboard. So tonight I decided to do some of my Social Studies homework which I did last night without the TV and play on my tablet for a little bit and I might fall asleep really late. Tomorrow won't be that hard, but I am really enjoying this habit project it has helped me a lot.

  13. Hi everyone FYI I figured out how to use it from a phone. So today was not very productive. I'm not proud of myself because I spend a lot of time on my iPod and on the T.V. I did clean half of my moms car and sorta cleaned my room but I didn't get to work out. Tomorrow I will have field hockey so I have to do that so maybe that will help with the productivity. To fix this tomorrow I will not charge my iPod ( thanks to Kathryn for giving me this idea ) and I will give it to my mom. I'm really happy for the people who did good on their project today and for the people who didn't better luck tomorrow guys. Have a nice Sunday.

  14. Today was successful because even if i had time to stay around my triggers more, I found a way to stay away from them longer than usual. Today I woke up at around 11 feeling good and was eating cereal when my sister said she had to help set up for my aunt's wedding. I volunteered to help set up tables and chairs at the reception room, after that was the wedding and after party which lasted until 30 minutes ago. During the day i was having fun so I didn't feel the need to nap at all. Every day I've been feeling better and its been easier to live without a nap.

  15. Yesterday I woke up around 10:00. I did my morning things like shower and breakfast. Then I went on my phone and played some clash of clans. I started to get bored so went to my living room and watched t.v. for an hour to two hours. After that I went to a party around 5:00 I came back at 9:00. I got home ate some ice cream, the watched a movie. The went to bed.

  16. Ahhh! Last night I forgot to stop going on my phone at 9 because I was talking to someone. I ended up getting off my phone at a little past 11 and remembering I wasn't supposed to be on my phone. Now I wont forget again. Im just glad I still got off of it an hour before bed. Im annoyed that my momentum ended, but I believe I have the discipline to get out of this slump and create more momentum. Like I have said, being off your phone before 9 is rewarding, but there is one pesky part. I hate not being able to text someone back when they text me. I guess Ill just have to find a way to stop all conversations before 9. It's just sad not being able to text someone from school when I can because I have less than a month left with them.

  17. It was a good day actually. After waking up, I played with my friend for about two hours before we went on a walk down the street. When we came back, we went to video games but only for about an hour until we went outside to work. This was basically the end of my time there so I went home. After getting home I didn't start playing till about 6. And I played my xbox till 12! Now I played for about more than I wanted to but hey it's the weekend. But it's still hard to limit my playing time, especially Saturday but I guess I did alright.

  18. Yesterday went better than it did on Friday. I had to do a lot of yard work with the help of one of my friends. Around 7;00 pm, my friend Kevin asked me if I wanted to go to Skyzone with him and his friend Caleb. Without hesitation I said sure. We went from 9-11 pm. When I came home it was about 11:30. I was planning on watching a movie that night but then i realized it was too late to watch one so instead I read my book. I felt great this morning and went to my baseball game and we won! Reading my book at night makes me fall asleep earlier and I feel great in the morning.

  19. Well, in a teenagers life, you like to go to bed very late and sleep in when everyone is awake. So, basically I slept through my time slot for playing my iPad. So that was no problem to me.

  20. So today went well for me. I woke up rode my bike to church, came back, then ate breakfast. Then i played some video games with my brother from 9:30-10:30. After that my family opened our pool and then my brother and I went in to clean it. By then it was like 11:30, so i relaxed a bit and then i went to mow my neighbors yard until 1:30. Then until like 3:45 i just relaxed outside. After that i helped the rest of my fam clean our garage. We were finished that at like 5:45, so i had some dinner. I now plan to just relax and get ready for school tomorrow. So i have been able to reach my goals for the weekend for this project and i plan to do so next weekend as well.

  21. Sorry for the late post! I've been so busy lately that I didn't have much free time. But anyway after finishing up the sleepover I immediately did my homework just to get it out of the way and I have to say it feels great knowing that it is done and I don't have to worry about it. Then after finishing my homework i did some work around the house to earn some money for tomorrow. Because tomorrow I'm going to an air show in westover Massachusetts and I'd like some spending cash.   22. Today I was still sick and sleeping and couldn't post on the exact day like Friday, but since I was sick I couldn't take the St. John's placement test so it was moved to next week. As for my habit when your sick it's an even better motivation to not chew gum. Hopefully I get better soon

  23. It was a lot harder to avoid t.v because it was the weekend. I do admit that i did watch t.v for a couple hours longer than i wanted too but i did go outside for a few hours so at least I go some fresh air. As for the foods im still on a soft food diet so theres only so much i can eat with is good in a way

  25. Today was a good day. I didn't come close to doing my bad habit. Today was like every other Monday half the day. I woke up got ready for school and left. After school at 3:00 I walked straight home and took a shower because I was hot and I did my homework. After an hour I got changed and went to crystal park (university park) to hang out with friends. I went for a few walks around 6:30 and I got home home at 8:00 took a shower, relaxed and I'm now studying for my quizes. Today was a successful day. Good luck to everyone else !
